Newtown Food Festival returns on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2026 for another weekend of food, music, demonstrations, family activities and more.
As always, admission to Newtown Food Festival is completely free.
The festival opens from 10am on both days, with live music continuing into the evening on Saturday.
Where do we find you?
Newtown Food Festival is held in the Town Hall Grounds and surrounding town centre area, Newtown, Powys, SY16 2NZ.
The festival site is right in the centre of Newtown, within easy walking distance of the shops, cafés and other attractions in the town centre.

Parking
Back Lane Car Park is located immediately next to the festival site and is operated by Powys County Council.
Additional public parking is available throughout Newtown town centre. Please check signage and parking restrictions when you arrive.
Accessibility, toilets and more
Most of the festival site is suitable for wheelchair users and mobility scooters. The Town Hall Grounds are predominantly grass, with some tarmacked paths and areas.
If you have additional accessibility requirements or require assistance during your visit, please speak to one of our volunteers or contact us in advance and we will do what we can to help.
Public toilets are located at the top of the festival site, near Back Lane Car Park. These are operated by Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council.

How do I get to Newtown?
By Road
Newtown is situated on the A483 and A489 in Mid Wales.
For the festival site and nearby parking, follow signs towards Newtown town centre and Back Lane Car Park, SY16 2NZ.
By Rail
Newtown railway station is within easy walking distance of the festival site.
Newtown is on the Cambrian Line, with direct services towards Shrewsbury and Birmingham in one direction and Machynlleth, Aberystwyth and the Cambrian Coast in the other.
Rail services are operated by Transport for Wales. You can plan your journey using Transport for Wales or Trainline.
By Bus and Coach
Newtown is served by local and regional bus services, with stops within the town centre and within walking distance of the festival site.
By Air
Birmingham Airport is approximately two hours away by road and has rail connections to Newtown via Birmingham International and Shrewsbury. Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff airports are also accessible by road and rail.
